Cheep Cheep, Feet Feet

Now these are some happy feet. Spring is in the air. The birds were chirping, the sun a blazing through our windows, and Ellamae wasn't the only one doing the little happy dance. It was so nice to be out on our front porch again. It works like a little greenhouse, and if it is spring or fall and I am at home you will find me on the porch. {summer it gets a little too hot, except for the evenings...Jake and I can talk the night away out there in a summer night with a bottle of wine} I felt like a new person out there...sun can do that. Birds can do that. A happy baby can do that.

Just wanted to spread my cheer.

Lent {week 1}

It is the Lenten Season already. A time to focus on Jesus and what He did for you and me. {really this should always be our focus}A time to realize the things that I do everyday that I shouldn't do, and the things that I don't do but should.

 Every little worry, when I could be trusting Jesus.
Every envious thought, when I should be not only content, but over thankful.
Every time I am lazy, when I should be using all my talents to the fullest.

On my own there is NOTHING I can do alone to please Jesus. I can NOT earn my way into heaven. Only because of His grace and mercy have I inherit heaven.

 Even though I am this sinful person, and constantly in the wrong, Jesus lived the perfect life and died for me. What a friend we have in Jesus. He promises anyone who believes in Him a happy ending in heaven. Out of thanks and love, I wish to live for Him.

 Every week I am going to post a little Lenten Verse. Here is week one:

Coral Floral

February is giving me cabin fever. It doesn't usually get this bad, but I am convinced that having a young child makes it even worse. Because I SIMPLY can not wait to take her outside in the spring and summer. Take more walks, going on a picnic, working in the garden, going to the park, farmers market, watching parades, camping, playing in the sand at the beach.....oh I could go on and on.

 I need to learn to enjoy every moment though, because I don't want to wish away one minute of being a mother to this sweet girl and experiencing all the little things. So until that blossom decides to bloom and the grass begins to poke out of the snow, I am filling my sketchbook and walls with flowers to brighten the place up.

Stay tuned for more flowers and cheerful videos.

Quick Watercolor

Short on time and short handed today. A little fawn is what I could get done with a needy (but so sweet) baby in one arm mean while. I think she likes watching me paint, but with all things that attention lasts about ten to fifteen minutes. I have started a series I can not wait to share. See you very soon.

And here is a completed chipmunk.

Have a happy Friday!!!

My little work in progress for the day. A little "chippy-chip" as my niece calls it.
